Tattoos have become a wildly popular form of art. 38% of Americans between the ages of 18-39 have at least one tattoo. While tattoos have grown in acceptance and popularity, so has the number of individuals regretting their tattoo choices.

If you have a tattoo that you regret for any reason, laser tattoo removal is the perfect solution for you.

About Laser Tattoo Removal

At Albuquerque Vein and Laser Institute, we use a state of the art laser called the Clear LIft ND Yag Laser. The Clear Lift is a state-of-the-art laser that has the smallest risk of skin damage than any other laser tattoo removal systems.  It is used and trusted by leading physicians around the country.

Multi-color tattoo removal requires a high powered laser that can deliver enough energy to a wide range of colors to break up the tattoo ink.

How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?

The ClearLift Laser can operate at 2 different wavelengths to remove both darker and brighter colors. The 1064 nm wavelength breaks down black, blue, and green while the 532 nm wavelength breaks down the red, orange, and yellow.

The laser sends high-powered, short-pulsed light beams into the inked skin at precise wavelengths. The light beams create a type of wavelength that breaks up the ink in the tattoo. After that, the body’s lymphatic system disposes of the ink fragments naturally.

With the ClearLift system, fewer treatments are necessary to remove the tattoo. Depending on the size of the tattoo, the quality or the ink, and the age of the tattoo, only 6-10 sessions may be needed. These treatments can be as short at 5 to 10 minutes or as long as 30 minutes for larger tattoos. Removal sessions are typically scheduled 8 weeks apart until the tattoo is no longer visible.

If you have an unwanted tattoo, you are a good candidate for laser tattoo removal. The ClearLift tattoo removal system not only works on tattoos of all colors, but also works on most skin types.

“I could not be happier with the services provided by Dr. Cutchen’s and his entire staff. Everyone treated me with respect and cared for the improvement of my veins and I never felt like “just another number”. Follow up care was great. The office manager is really easy to work with and never caused me any issues. Overall- this is the place to be treated!” *
