Endovenous laser ablation

The veins in your legs are under stress as they carry blood against gravity back to your heart. These veins can become damaged, leading to a condition called chronic venous insufficiency. This condition can cause discomfort and other symptoms, making prompt treatment important.

What is Chronic Venous Insufficiency?

As your leg veins move blood, one-way valves keep the flow moving in the right direction. When these valves weaken, blood can pool in the veins, a condition called venous reflux. These damaged varicose veins can contribute to a variety of uncomfortable symptoms. Chronic venous insufficiency does not resolve on its own and requires treatment with a vein specialist such as Dr. Robert Cutchen.

Many people unnecessarily suffer silently with the symptoms of varicose veins. Day after day they feel heavy, achy legs, burning, throbbing, cramping, swelling, itching, and even skin discoloration around the veins. Varicose veins are superficial veins that have lost their ability to effectively carry blood up and out of the leg. This means that the blood is allowed to flow backward toward the feet and pool in the affected veins. The good news is that you don’t have to suffer from varicose veins when there is a great treatment in laser vein therapy, also called Endovenous Laser Ablation.
