Meet Dr. Robert Cutchen

In 2009, Dr. Cutchen founded Albuquerque Vein & Laser Institute, a clinic dedicated solely to the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease. His goal was to provide the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options all in the comfort of his office without the need for hospitalization. Insurance

Insurance & Varicose Veins

Varicose veins are considered a medical issue if the patient has symptoms of discomfort and if ultrasound evaluation documents venous reflux (backward flow in the vein). In this case, insurance companies consider treatment for varicose veins to be medically necessary and, typically, will provide coverage. Some insurance companies require a trial of compression stockings before approving treatments. Albuquerque Vein & Laser Institute participates with almost every major plan. If your plan isn’t listed, please call us to inquire.
