This discomfort often develops over the course of months or years, and over time, people may develop bulging varicose veins, and may even begin to notice some skin discoloration around the ankles that can signal damage to the skin caused by vein disease. Since it is a slow process, many people just “live with it” and never figure out why their legs always feel heavy, achy and tired.

In 2009, Dr. Cutchen founded Albuquerque Vein & Laser Institute, a clinic dedicated solely to the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease.
